Car insurance in Ivory Coast

Motor third-party liability (RC auto) is mandatory for every motor vehicle used in Côte d'Ivoire. It covers bodily and material damage caused to third parties. It is governed by the CIMA insurance code, applicable in Côte d'Ivoire and the 13 other member states.
Legal requirement
Required by CIMA Code Article 200: the contract must cover the civil liability of the owner, policyholder and any custodian of the vehicle, and extends across all CIMA member states.
